The cross guard with muzzle ring and catch mechanism, manipulated with a button under the cross guard. The blade being a cut down Springfield, dated 1916 to the ricasso along with markers mark for Fork & Hoe. Housed within original scabbard. Measures approx. 40cm.

A WWI First World War British medal trio and death plaque for one 11767 Pte P.G. Tanswell of the Kings Royal Rifle Corps. Medals comprising his British War medal, Victory medal and 1914-15 Star. Impressed to the rim and suspended on original ribbons. Tanswell was killed on 10th May 1915 aged 21 at the 2nd Battle of Ypres.
