Overall 47”, barrel 30.25”. Good condition, the stock, barrel and trigger guard by another hand.

Good .577” Volunteer Snider Breech-Loading 3 Band Rifle, barrel London proved with L.A.C stamps, later rear-sight to 1100 yds, hinged breech stamped ‘J.ms KERR & Co. 54 King William St’, lock stamped with crowned VR and 1856, regulation brass mounts, steel sling swivels and cleaning rod, butt with Enfield storekeeper’s stamp. Overall 54”, barrel 36.5”. Good untouched condition.
The Fish Skin Covered Iron Reservoir Butt from a Victorian Pump-Up Air Rifle, the browned twist pump barrel from the same engraved C B VAUGHAN 39 STRAND LONDON with brass mounts (handle missing), another unsigned (missing handle and piston), iron footplate from another, and a horn handle from a pump up walking stick air rifle, all contained in an adapted wooden box. Average good condition.
70-Bore American Percussion Plains Rifle by A S Dygert, Buffalo, foliate engraved lock plate, detented action, drum and nipple breech, open sights, scroll engraved iron furniture, finger scroll to pineapple finialled trigger guard, iron swing swivels, chequered small, blackened half stock, horn fore-cap, silver barrel wedge plates and vacant escutcheon, later iron ramrod. Overall 46”, barrel 29.75”. Good condition.
Very Fine Victorian 1827 Pattern Presentation Sword of the Derbyshire Rifle Volunteers, regulation blade by Henry Wilkinson, Pall Mall, London No. 10614 finely etched and mirror polished with crowned VR cypher, Sudbury 2nd Derbyshire VI Rifle Volunteers amidst foliage together with ‘Lord Vernon to Robert Booth’ beneath Lord Vernon's crest and motto, regulation steel guard and dress scabbard of blued steel, fish skin covered silver wire bound grip. Blade 82cms. The blade is preserved in almost mint condition and represents Wilkinson's best work. The hilt and scabbard retain much original blued finish. Fine condition, some staining to original blued finish, blade in close to mint condition.
32-Bore Percussion Rifle, octagonal barrel with open sights, inlaid silver breech line, walnut half stock, scroll engraved lock signed Austin, detented action, scroll engraved iron furniture, nickel escutcheon, fore-end cap and barrel wedge plates, iron swing swivels, iron tipped wooden ramrod with brass capped worm. Overall 45.5”, barrel 29.5”. Good condition, iron furniture worn. Makers with this surname include David of Hurst Green, Martin of Colchester and Thomas of Hailsham, all working in the percussion era.
Mahogany Gun Case for a Double Barrel Percussion Sporting Gun, trade label of Westley Richards, Gun Manufacturer, to His Royal Highness Prince Albert, Birmingham and 170 New Bond Street, London (some damage to label), brass corners, folding handle and swivel hooks, green felt lined compartments (incomplete), containing an octagonal percussion rifle barrel 76.5cm with iron ramrod, together with a copper powder flask, shot measure and leather shot bag. Good condition, some age wear overall. 81cms x 24.5cms x 8cms.
Three Swords of Thomas Henry Purser, 69th (later 1st) Herefordshire Rifles (Bromyard Company) 1871-1892, comprising his 1827 pattern Rifle officer's sword, the blade etched and mirror polished with crowned 69th Herefordshire Rifles, regimental badge, laurel wreath, Union flags and foliage, regulation hilt incorporating the regimental badge, in its steel dress scabbard; his 1845 pattern Infantry officer's Presentation sword, blade by Prise & Co, Hart St, Covent Garden, London, etched and mirror polished with crowned VR cypher within foliage, together with "Presented to Major & Hon Lieut Col Thomas Henry Purser On His Promotion to Field Rank After 31 Years Service By Members of The Bromyard (D) Company Of The 1st Herefordshire Rifle Volunteer Corps April 1892" upon banners within foliage, brass hilt and scabbard of regulation pattern; and his 1895 Pattern Infantry officer's sword, blade by Hobson & Sons 1-3-5 Lexington St, London, etched and mirror polished with crowned VR cypher, 1st Herefordshire R.V.C., and owner's initials T.H.P. all amidst foliage, regulation steel hilt and steel dress scabbard. All blades are preserved in almost mint condition, all hilts and scabbards have good age patina. T.H. Purser, Lieut 18.2,1871 in the 4th (Bromyard) I.A. Bn; Major Hon Lieut Col 13.06.1891 in the King's (Shropshire Light Infantry).
A Canadian WWI Ross rifle bayonet converted to fighting knife 7 5/8in. (19.4cm.) steel blade, small polished steel crosspiece, metal mounted wooden slab handle, stamped 'Ross Rifle Co. Quebec Patented 1907' and various inspection marks, housed in leather scabbard, stamped with broad arrow, together with frog. * This conversion is described in "The Ross Rifle Story" by Phillips, Chadwick and Dupuis in Chapter 8.

Impressed maker's marks to the ricasso ' J. Sch ' and further stamped '1002 h' to reverse and '38' to edge. Housed in steel scabbard (numbers not matching), complete with original leather frog with maker's stamp (Lec Schmidt, Munchen 1938).
