Victorian silver presentation chalice, 1861 Challenge Cup presented by Edward Lewis Esq.. Lord Lieutenant of Cardiganshire to the Rifle Volunteers of that county, having relief decoration of riflemen within a wood landscape. Probably by Robert Hennell, London 1861. 26 troy oz approximately. 26cm high approximately.(B.P. 21% + VAT) Good clear hallmarks overall. Chalice appears in good condition with minor dinks and dents. Rather grubby in places but appearing complete.

The two brothers where in the Middlesex Regiment there cousin was in the Kings Royal Rifle Corps. The two brothers Harold & Percy come with the full set of 1914-15 Star, War Medal and Victory, Albert comes with Victory medal only his 14-15 star and War medal are missing. But each of there Death Plaque in Original Cases. It also comes with pictures of the two brothers, postcards and letters. Also it comes with there sisters (Doris Knowers) British Red Cross Society medal for service in 1941 in Original Case and two commemorative medals.
