Engraved Alex Henry, Edinburgh, patent No. 252, gauge 451, with presentation plaque on but, with cleaning rod. 'Presented to the 9th A.R.V. by Captain J.G. Stevenson' in fitted wooden case. Total length 125.5cm, barrel length 86cm CONDITION REPORT: There is a slight crack in the wooden stock at the grip. The barrel does not appear to be blocked. There is no piercing to the barrel. The action seems to be in good working order.

Sold as an exempt item under Section 58 (2) of the 1968 Firearms Act, to be held as a curiosity or ornament.

Anton Chotka (Austrian, 1881-1955), cold painted bronze 'Bedouin tent' lamp, Vienna, early 20th Century, modelled with two men, one inside seated smoking his pipe, the other standing in the doorway with a rifle, raised on a naturalistic base supporting a palm tree, with cast signature ‘CHOTKA’ and impressed ‘AUSTRIA’, 38cm high.Footnote: Anton Chotka was a workmaster for Franz Bergman.Condition report: Upper section of rifle misshapen. General dulling to coloured enamels commensurate with age. Traces of emulsion paint around edges of base, easily removed with thumbnail.
