A 1930s Belgian Val St Lambert liqueur stoppered jug and set of six shot glasses set, the bodies flashed in purple and cut through to clear with mitre, lens and slice cuts, one shot glass broken and lacking missing piece, contained in a fitted card display box, stoppered jug 23.5cm high. After Bernard Lens III (English, 1682-1740), an 18thC oval posthumous enamel miniature portrait of a lady (perhaps Mary Queen of Scots) against a vibrant blue background, wearing a black veil, pearl necklace and fitted robes trimmed with fur, with enamel back, claw-mounted in a gilt metal frame with bail, frame 4.2cm long, 3.7cm wide.CONDITION: No apparent losses, noting a scratch under her left eye. A small collection of antique gold charms suspended on a Victorian carved gold split ring, the charms include a stanhope in the form of a stereoscope with the Lord's prayer in one lens and an image of Christ with an inscription below ?? Les enfants. (partly indistinct from the angle of the lens) , a faith, hope and charity trio, a carved watch key, a gem-set propelling miniature pencil, and a silver token dated 1802. All unhallmarked assessed as between 8- 9ct gold. Gross weight 9.69 grams.
