Macro len aperture blades are sticking and has a small amount of fungus visible between the elements. 50mm 1.4 lens appears to be fungus free but has sticky diaphram blades

G. Tufnell (missing eyecup) -- 25¾in. (65.5cm.) closedFootnote: Lt Robert George Tufnell R.N. entered the Royal Navy as a Mate in 1846, was appointed Lieutenant on 14th October 1847 -- when he probably purchased this telescope; he made Commander 1858, retired a Captain in 1873 and died in 1901. Nathaniel Worthington was an optician who worked from 196 Piccadilly between 1835 and 1851 had previously been in partnership with James Allan (1821-34) and supplied a similar instrument to Capt. Frederick Marryat.Condition report: Optics very good; original leather covering has shrunk slightly and is lightly scuffed overall commensurate with use and age.
