The two Konicas and Edonex Mk I do not work (jammed). Bellows are torn on one of the Kodak Hawkette and the other has very stiff and partially rusted folding mechanism, although the shutters appear to still function.

Great Western Railway copper cased marker lamp, as used exclusively within the Seven Tunnel between Wales and England. A single lens either end indicates 1/4 mile from the bottom. Chimney stamped GWR and complete with Copper interior also stamped GWR and is in excellent condition. A rare item.

SCHMIDT BERNHARD: (1879-1935) Estonian astronomer and optician who invented the Schmidt telescope in 1930. A.L.S., B. Sch[mi]dt, to one side of a plain postcard, Mittweida, 26th January 1926, to Mr. J. Eggers, in German. Schmidt states that he has received his correspondent's request and continues to inform him 'If the lens is otherwise good, a little haze does not bother much. However, if the definition of the lens is not good, it would be advisable to polish the lens. I would do this work for no less than 350 Mark. Never polish the lens yourself with jeweller's rouge and cleaning rags. This might leave the surfaces nice and blank, but it will completely destroy the definition. Something like this could be done with a photographic lens, since with it those errors do not matter'. Hand addressed by Schmidt to the verso. A yellow metal and diamond three-stone dress ring, stamped 18ct and Platinum, size O, 3.6gCondition:Diameter of central stone is approximately 5mm.Depth of central stone is approximately 4mm.With a x10 lens we can see 3 inclusions in the central stone. and 1 in each shoulder stone.The inclusions are not apparent with the naked eye.in our opinion, the stones are a good colour with no hint of yellow.The setting appears to be in okay condition, with some surface wear commensurate with age.All the stones are present and appear to be secure.Please be aware that we are not professional gemmologists and this is merely our opinion.
