A locomotive Lamp, the heavy white metal lamp with makers plate for "Peckett & Sons, Engineers, Bristol" with original oil burner, bulls eye lens with green glass slide, 41cms high. NB This lamp was originally on the Peckett locomotive at British Cellophane, Bridgwater which was removed from service in 1960, replaced by a diesel shunter.
GWR Coppertop 3 aspect Handlamp. Bears a brass plate numbered 8807 affixed to the side of the main body. Complete with original reservoir and burner. The lens has received the GWR lettering later and has some scratching across it. A fine example in unrestored, albeit copper polished condition.
BR(W) 3 aspect Handlamp bearing two brass plates, one embossed BR(W), the other G. Polkey Manufacturer Birmingham. Complete with original reservoir and BR/WR burner. Good condition but lens has a small crack near the top. Together with a standard BR(M) 3 aspect Handlamp with original reservoir and BR marked burner. In extremely good, unrestored condition. Additionally, a LNER Loco, so embossed, Drivers Handlamp with a later, BR insert with 3 aspects as opposed to the 2 aspects normally found with the Loco Lamps. Has original reservoir and LNER stamped burner. Together with a BR double bulls eye Hanging Lamp complete with innards and a BR marked burner and an unusual Sliding Knob Handlamp embossed 'AS & CO' on the side. Lacks interior and has several cracks to the front lens, and finally, an unrestored 3 aspect Military Railway Handlamp with a Birmingham 1943 plate on the side.
British Railways Class 08 Shunter items comprising: Front Headlight complete with red, flip-over lens and bottom switch; A brass Control Handle with large, black bakelite knob; brass Starting Handle stamped D3811 and complete with cylindrical brass fitment key with direction arrow on top; a pair of brass Gear Indicator Plates; a brass Towing Loco Plate measuring 9" x 6¼" with 10 lines of text to show how to disengage gear on reduction gearbox for towing purposes.

AN EARLY 19TH-CENTURY 1IIN. SINGLE DRAW MAHOGANY AND BRASS TELESCOPE BY J. & T. HEMSLEY, with fixed objective lens shade and tapering eye piece with dust slide, signed J T Hemsley / London / Day or Night, 38/23in. (96.5/58.5cm.) open/closed, The brothers Joseph & Thomas Hemsley worked from two addresses in Tower Hill for only two years between 1826 and 1828.
