A diamond solitaire ring set in a gentleman's style mount, the old brilliant cut stone claw set in an all yellow metal mount ring size X, gross weight 10g, approximate weight of diamond 1.70 carat.Condition report:Please see additional images uploaded to our website.We do not have a certificate or valuation where the stone has been graded, in our opinion in would fall intothe bracket of Colour L-N, Clarity SI1- SI2, the diamond is quite lively, there appears a chip/natural surface chip from one claw across an upper girdle facet, and another under a claw, with slight nibbles to the girdle between, with a 10x lens there is a small dark inclusion under a star facet that can be seen under the table facet if the stone is tilted, there are casting marks on one side where the head joins the shoulder.

A remodelled diamond five stone ring, three loose old cut diamonds, five old brilliant cut diamonds individually claw set in 18 carat white gold in a contemporary design on a 4mm wide bark textured band ring size M, London 1973, gross weight 9.3g, three further loose old cut diamonds sold with the lot.Qty: Ring plus three loose diamonds.Condition report:The stones appear to have been taken from an older piece of jewellery as they are all old cuts, and then remodelled into a very 1970's mount with bark textured shank, the claw settings are all good, it appears the better stones have been used in the mount as one loose diamond has a large chip on the girdle,the stones in the ring vary in cut and colour slightly, all contain some inclusions when viewed with a 10x lens.

One diamond has a noticeable chip, visible with a 10x lens. The settings are secure. The mount is secure. There are some fine surface scratches to the shank.

The mount appears as platinum.
