1998 WORLD CUP-AUTOS/CHELSEA Seven booklets of official postage stamps issued by France to commemorate the 1998 World Cup being held in France. Each booklet features one of the French venues and the stamps issued with the name of that particular venue. Each booklet has been signed by three of the victorious French team who by coincidence have also all played for Chelsea. The signatories are Didier Deschamps, Marcel Desailly and Frank Leboeuf and they have signed each booklet. The venues are Nantes, Lens, Marseille, Lyon, Montpellier, Toulouse and Saint -Etienne. Solitaire diamond ring set with circular brilliant cut diamond of appx 4 carats with further baton cut diamonds to the shoulders in a platinum setting. Ring size appx L Stone is of good colour but is included. There are three carbon inclusion visible to naked eye when looking into the stone directly from above. Under a Zeiss 40 mag lens - further translucent inclusions. Good fire. 1 cm diameter.

A late 19th Century French Bardou & Son table top brass telescope, 120cm long, main body with 18.5cm diameter objective lens and side mounted spotting scope, on swivel adjustable stand and folding tripod base, marked BARDOU PARIS, 'Supplied by Broadhurst Clarkson & Co Ltd, 63 Farringdon Road London E. C' together with additional eyepieces, one marked 'S & B Solomons, 39 Albermarle St, London' with original fitted mahogany case.

Sig (MK III) ALSO GS No. 4432', in leather case, a tripod by Blunt & Wray, London 1916 and a scope 'TEL STG No. 53 MKT' (4) CONDITION REPORT: Lot 206 - Scope: clear through lense, some surface wear and corrosion. Large telescope: large lens is dirty, small scratch, small lenses dirty, scuffs and scrapes and dents to brass work. Leather Clad telescope: lenses good, clear to look through, scuffs and scratches to leather, third drawer is stiff.
