Third Reich 7x50 Rubber Armoured U Boat Binoculars. Fitted with hard rubber armoured covers and bakelite lens protector. With original neck strap, but one end of strap at fault. Maker code marked "beh" for Ernst Leitz of Weztlar. Serial number 55651. Original Dunklegelb paint finish has almost been removed.
Lancashire & Yorkshire 3 aspect Handlamp. Square front with bullseye lens, the side is stamped Permanent Way DPT Ramsbottom (although the last four letters are a little faint) the side is also stamped LYR as well as the brass handle top catch . Original LYR stamped reservoir missing reflector and fitted with a later burner. Painted black with traces of green underneath.
A pair of Ships Lanterns. The first is a substantial lamp bearing the makers plate 'Wm Harvie & Co 121 Bishop St., Birmingham'. There is also a separate numberplate stamped 11445 and a further plate beneath that 'AKTERST' which is a Swedish nautical term for Aftmost. The lens is engraved 11445 17-12-57, presumably the date it was either made or replaced. The second isn't as substantial but also carries a makers plate 'Seahorse GB Trademark 52789'
Great North of Scotland Railway Company 3 aspect hand lamp No.157 with full title company plate on the body and a brass plate on the reducing cone' P.way, Garmouth'. In nice original condition with burner lens and reservoir and all glasses intact. Garmouth is a town on the Aberdeen/Inverness line between Urquhart and Spey Bay, closed 6th May 1968.
A pair of WWII period BEH 7x50 binoculars, 431475, in an associated leather case, stamped BINO PRISM NO 5 CASE MA 1 OS 997, PAPWORTH INDUSTRIES 1941 Condition report Report by RB: Markings on binoculars as stated in the catalogue description, the left hand lens has some general dirt and two largest black spots, the right hand lens is slightly dirty as well.
