Together with an Indian kukri. 12 1/2 inch blade of typical form. Horn and bone slab grips. Brass pommel. Contained in its leather covered, wooden scabbard. BARR & STROUD; two pairs of WWII military binoculars, each a 7X CF42, one stamped A.P. No.1900A serial no.45007M, the other stamped AP No.1900A serial no.56504, both marked with military arrow to the barrels and each with a leather case (2).Additional InformationBoth pairs do appear to focus and both eyepieces do rise and fall. Both night vision lens filters do adjust from one to the next. The example with serial no.56504 does have some blooming spots to the inside of one lens. This pair has wear to the lacquering around both eyepiece barrels and both arrow heads have been darkened out and one appears to have some loss to the edge around it. The lens is generally grubby on this one and with some flaking to the lacquering around the named section of the barrels. The pair with general wear throughout and loss of the lacquering to the raised areas which is showing the whiter metal beneath. All of the lenses are dusty and lightly grubby and with some finger marks. The arrow heads are clean and bright. The leather cases may not be original to the binoculars. One case has no front strap or carrying strap. This case is dented at the back and is lacking the liner to the underside of the lid. The stitching to the lid of the other case has worked loose and the lid is rather fragile. The hinge at the back is not original and the lid may not be original to the base section. The carrying strap is heavily worn and the case has general age wear throughout. no graticule visible through any of the lens.
KERSHAW & SON; a pair of WWII military binoculars, stamped Bino Prism No.2 Mark II x6 No.89670, dated 1941, in leather case marked with the military arrow head three times, with a pair of military issue brass binoculars stamped 7531 and also V.F.2506, the tan leather case lid stamped Binocular 2 1/2 x 50, 10 Field Cat No.VF No.2506, A.G. & Co Ltd, and a pair of Ross of London binoculars, Binoprism No.5 Mark II No.17072 and dated 1940, with a tan leather case.Additional InformationKershaw: worn throughout with the brass underneath the lacquering showing through in many places. Generally grubby. Some small losses to the mounts to the barrels. The eyepieces do rise and fall and they do appear to focus. The underside is stamped with two military arrow heads. Lenses are generally grubby and many specks of dirt are visible when viewing through the binoculars and there are also vertical alignment lines for the horizon level. The case is generally worn throughout and lacking the clasp and most of the two straps. Brass pair: rubbed throughout with most of the black detailing lacking. This pair is marked with a military arrow to the top. They do appear to focus. The lenses are lightly grubby but there does appear to be some lines visible to the inside of one of the larger lenses. Case with general age wear, general rubbing, etc. Ross of London; were marked with military arrow heads but these have been scratched out. Wear to the black finish throughout. The lenses are generally grubby and there appear to be some blemishes on the inside of the lenses. The eye adjusters do rise and fall freely and there is a slight knock to one of the wider barrels where the lens sits beneath it. When viewing through, they do appear to focus however they are quite grubby with lots of specks visible in line of sight. There are vertical alignment lines to assist with the horizon visible through them. The case may not be original This has watermarks and general wear throughout and is lacking the large carrying handle and one of the mounts.
Two cast iron Dinah money boxes, tallest 16cm, together with a Viceroy German hexagonal concertina, a pair of Lemaire extra luminous 8x30 binoculars with a leather case and a pair of Scope 9x35 binoculars model number 3831 (5).Additional InformationThe money boxes are not original but later copies, both with general age wear rubbing throughout. The concertina with general light rubbing at the edges, but the bellows appear to be ok. The French binoculars with rubbing to the black lacquering throughout. Lenses lightly grubby and the right hand eye piece lens does appear to have some scratches to the surface. The binoculars do focus, the case is generally rubbed and worn and rather tired. The other binoculars appear ok but the case is in poor condition and the lenses are dusty and grubby.
A pair of Busch Prisma-Binocle Terlux binoculars, stamped MOD. Terlux, with angled barrels and anti-glare covers, with a tan leather case (2).Additional InformationThe focus dial does move, however there is a small nut lacking to the terminal which would push the two lens pieces up and down and a replacement with need to be sourced, therefore at present they will not focus. General age wear and rubbing throughout. Anti-glare covers do extend but are stiff. The binoculars are stamped 37659 and all the lenses are slightly grubby. The lid to the case is a slightly different colour and may not be original to it. The strap to the front of the lid is probably a replacement. The long strap has a repair. The leather with general age wear, scuffs and marks throughout. The case may not be original.

MB 1900A, serial no.42467, also stamped British Patent 483220/1934, with adjusters for night vision and anti-glare lens covers, each barrel also marked in yellow with the military arrow, in a leather case, with another pair the same in leather case (second pair af).Additional InformationThe first pair with general age wear rubbing to the black lacquering here and there throughout and also to the support bar down the middle. The yellow arrow heads to the barrels appear to be slightly crude in their execution. Generally grubby here and there throughout. The lenses are lightly grubby but is is possible to see through the binoculars clearly but some specks and grubbiness visible when viewing through. One of the wide barrel ends has some slight knocks which have misshapen the edge slightly. The night adjusters do adjust between three different filters. The case may not be original to the binoculars, does not have a cover and is lacking strap, etc.The second pair rattle when shaken and it is not possible to see anything through the binoculars. The case may not be original to it and it appears that the handle of the lid is a replacement and the strap has a later spring repair. Both cases with general age wear. The mounts to the barrels of both of the eyepieces appear to have general age wear cracking and patina.

All lens are dusty / lightly grubby. When viewing it is a little cloudy at the edge - this may be from the dirt. Perhaps a couple of very slight scratches to the large lenses. Rotation of eye pieces firm, the barrels to stay apart unaided. general light age wear and rubbing to the frame. The larger Russian pair - the image does appear yellow when viewing through it. They do appear to focus. Lens are grubby throughout. Perhaps a few slight surface scratches. Eye pieces rotate ok and barrels stay apart. Wear to the coating on the binoculars throughout with many losses to the black. The rubber lens mounts are perishing. smaller Russian pair cleaner and in better condition. They do focus, only the right eye piece turns. Lens with light covering of dirt. Barrels slightly loose at join.

All lenses with general specks of dirt throughout. General wear to the black detailing, etc, throughout. The case may not be original. Lacking long carrying strap and with general wear throughout. The lid of the leather case is faintly inscribed Captain 65211. The second pair do rattle. It is possible to see through them however the images do not seem to align with one another. Attention will be needed to these as they are not in working order. The leather case is associated and much later in date.
