An early Ernst Leitz Wetzlar Leica IIf Rangefinder camera in chrome finish, serial number 571059, manufactured 1951-52 (believed to be first year of production), fitted with a Summitar f=5cm 1:2 lens, serial number 796207, manufactured 1950, with lens cap, in fitted leather case CONDITION REPORT:The exterior of the camera shows wear commensurate with age and use throughout. The rangefinder appears to work, but focussing is somewhat stiff. The shutter appears to function, but speeds have not been tested. The Leica lens cap fits well but may be a later addition. When looked at under magnification the lens appears to show some small imperfections.PLEASE NOTE: The camera is untested and we would therefore advise potential bidders to inspect the item and assure themselves of its functionality prior to bidding.

The Summaron has slight separation like marks to the edge of one of the groups, dust and other light haze present. The Hektor has dust and haze present, fungus and cleaning marks also apparent, the barrel is heavily brassed in places.

The Elmar 5cm has dust present aswell as some fungus spots on internal elements, the aperture appears to be stuck. The Elmar 9cm has brass showing on the barrel the aperture moves freely as does focus, the lens has dust and haze present, articles on the edge of the lens have started to appear internally.
