Heuer - Rare early Autavia automatic chronograph wristwatch with 'Jo Siffert' dial - ref: 1163T, the signed silver 'panda' dial with date, part-polished and luminous filled hands, blue centre chronograph hand, blue accents to the 'ridged' hour markers, two black sunken registers recording hours and minutes, black tachymeter rotating bezel, the 'C' shaped case with signed crown at 9 o'clock and with two reeded pushers at 2 and 4 o'clock, screw down back marked 'Heuer-Leonidas S.A.', signed Cal 11, 17 jewel movement, case No: 141755, with an associated stainless steel bracelet, approximately 42mm diameter, circa 1969/1970 Condition: Movement - currently functions but pushers do not operate correctly, date changes correctly at 12 o'clock, Crystal/Lens - some scratches evident to naked eye, Bezel - revolves but somewhat stiff to operate, good to naked eye but with a visible nick beside 120, Hands - H & M have full lume but there are scratches to the polished surfaces, seconds hand has quite a thick paint finish - maybe redone at the 1987 service, Dial - clean to the naked eye but some minor discolouration spots evident with a loupe, the Autavia font has a pointed 'V', there are luminous dots to the blue accents on the 3, 6 & 9 accents and also to the 'ridged' markers, Case Back - as expected, usual wear but no tool slippage, General - accompanied with a 'Tag Heuer' Service Guarantee leaflet dated 28.7.87. this is a single owner watch which was owned by the vendors late husband who was a keen motorsport enthusiast - **General condition consistent with age

5¼-INCH BINOCULAR TELESCOPE, BY WILLIAM C. EDGECOMB, MYSTIC, CONNECTICUT DATED 1898 marked EDGECOMB/ MYSTIC/ 1898, with dual eyepieces and prisms for interpupillary distance, with rack and pinion focus and adjustable lens cells, raised on a mahogany tripod with cast trunnion brackets and clamps 181cm long approx. The Collection of the Late Allan Murray. Provenance: Vernonscope & Co., New York, 30 September 1995, Lot 150 Note: Born in 1845, William Cary Edgecomb lived in Mystic, Connecticut, where he taught astronomy and spent much of his time in his observatory. Edgecomb was a skilled scientific instrument maker and was largely known for manufacturing high quality binocular telescopes, despite their rarity.
The Sanderson Regular model plate camera, early 20th Century, Bausch and Lomb Unicum shutter and lens, with red bellows and black textured leather exterior, with five mahogany 3 ½" x 5 ½" plates with each individually numbered and four with red baize sleeves (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The bellows appear to be in good condition and not worn or torn. The compass glass is cracked and the compass itself is loose in its housing. There are very few scuff marks to the case, nothing detrimental. The low pull beneath the lens has a broken bracket on the left side and the pin which secures the bracket is missing. The leather case housing the slides is missing one of its buckles, the edges and handle are rather worn, both sides have had later stitched repairs. The cloth case that houses the camera has a small hole to the top left rear but is in otherwise good order though it does not have a carrying strap.

A pair of Lucas "King of the Road" Vintage car headlights, lens with a clear centre and textured border and tri bar within a chrome mount with black japanned body, the lens 22 cm diameter, believed to be from a 1928 4.5 L Bentley, and a oil dipping cable for same vehicle (see illustration).
