A peridot and diamond cluster ring, the square cluster designed as a central peridot within a surround of twelve diamonds, all set in white metal to the tapering shoulders and plain yellow gold hoop, stamped '18ct PT', size L, weight 4gms CONDITION REPORT: Peridot showing some signs of surface scratching and wear to the surface facets, one diamond has possibly been replaced, diamonds included when viewed through a 10X lens. A small early 20th century potentially natural (untested) pearl necklace with diamond clasp, the approximately 65 individually knotted pearls ranging from 2mm diameter to 5mm diameter, the white barrel clasp set with eight-cut diamonds, 11mm long, the necklace including clasp 36.5cm long CONDITION REPORT: Many of the pearls have a residue on them from regular wearing (especially around the drill hole) which can be wiped off with a tissue easily. The pearls are irregular in shape with many of the having a flatter surface to one end. Examination under a 10x lens reveals imperfections to the surface of the pearls ranging from a slightly uneven surface, layering, and crazing with many of the smaller pearls having bands of differing levels of nacre. There is a slight difference to the hue of some of the pearls although they are all cream in colour. There is no visible damage to any of the beads. The overall weight of the necklace is 6.6g with the diamond set barrel clasp weighing approximately 0.8g (this does not include the pin). The lustre of the pearls varies with the largest pearl having the best lustre, which I would consider to be medium. Some of the pearls appear to pick up on surrounding colours more than others which can give the appearance of a difference of hue.
