Royal Artillery 1879 Pattern Sword Bayonet for Martini-Henry carbine. Straight fullered blade 25 3/4 inches long. Saw toothed section to back edge. Steel knucklebow guard. Grip with checkered black leather scales and spring clip fixing mechanism. Numerous stamped markings including broad arrow, VR cypher and date 9/83. No scabbard. All metal parts discoloured. Blade slightly pitted.
