The monogram may be that of Princess Beatrice (1857-1944) the daughter of Queen Victoria. Lots 9-26 belonged to Edward Moncur the steward to Earl Mountbatten of Burma who worked at Broadlands - the Earl`s country seat for twenty years. 1st King`s Dragoon Guards a pair of Officer`s copper gilt undress shoulder scales, circa 1840-55, the crescents applied with laurel sprays overlaid with silver scrolls bearing the battle honour WATERLOO, centered an applied silver KDG badge, finial buttons of regimental pattern. Two screw fasteners replaced otherwise good condition and with traces of gilt finish.
