A vintage unboxed Taylor & Barrett Fire Engine with radiator detached together with two Fire Escape ladders also by T & B and ten fire fighter figures together with other unboxed diecast figures including Butcher, Assistant, Counter and Weighing Scales, 'Big Ears' and a T&B Girl seated on Turtle model. Condition varies.
A quantity of boxed and carded diecast model buses in a variety of different scales by Solido, Meotsul, Majorette, Tomica and others including two different versions of the Tomica L8 Routemaster Bus, one in red with 'DFDS Seaways' ads, the other in blue and white 'St. George Has Got It!, and a Metosul #34 Atlantean Bus 'SMC', badly fatigued, otherwise models appear generally G/G+ in P to G+ packaging. Two unboxed Metosul Leyland Atlantean models are also included as part of this lot, 'Transul' red/grey and 'Carris' green/cream, both G. (57)
An early 20th century brass Merryweather fireman's helmet, the high comb with dragon decoration above an applied crossed axe badge, having rosette ear bosses, leather backed chin scales, and a leather liner, bearing label for Merryweather & Sons Firemans Outfitters London, h.26cm Condition Report / Extra Information Complete with both rosettes and chin chains.Several minor dents all over, most noticeable to peak.Otherwise good.
dating: about 1855 provenance: England, Rifled, octagonal, 10 mm cal. barrel, with test-bed stamps and 'W.S.', fore-sight; smooth, six-shot cylinder, engraved front border, refreshed finishing of the cylinder and barrel; frame engraved with floral motifs, cock with safety lock, iron trigger-guard, engraved en suite, butt with wooden, checkered grip scales (small part missing). length 26.5 cm.
dating: about 1870 provenance: Belgium, Round, rifled, 9 mm cal. barrel, with octagonal base, engraved and marked with crowned 'EL'; six-shot cylinder finely engraved with floral motifs, so as the frame. Serial number '65999'; loading gate, extractor and folding trigger. Saw-butt with wooden grip scales. length 29.5
