Ca. 1200 - 600 BC.A collection of three bronze daggers. The first is a bronze short dagger cast using the lost wax (cire perdue) technique. Its tubular handle is reinforced with three slender ringlets beneath the lunate pommel, and a narrow handguard rests atop the blade shoulder. The double-edged blade has sharpened edges and a profile that tapers to a narrow tip. The second dagger features a flanged hilt and a finely cast blade in one piece. The tapering double-edged blade is complemented by a shaped hilt with an elliptical pommel, hollowed on each face to accommodate a pair of grip scales. The third dagger has double sharpened edges and a prominent polygonal-section midrib. Layers of mottled green and brown patina cover the entire weapon.For similar see: Muscarella O.
