The door inset with a brown patinated sheet metal panel enriched with gilding and intricately decorated with the figure of a mediaeval man perched on a ladder leaning over with key towards the cabinet`s keyhole. The man carrying a wicker basket on his back with a bunch of keys looped through his belt, surrounded by fine Renaissance style scrolling foliage and cornucopia cascading fruit with the hands of Justitia holding a sword & scales reaching down from above. The channel-moulded door frame adorned with turned studs and surmounted by a scrolling foliate pediment with shell crest. The interior fitted with three rows of key hooks, 21½ ins (54.5 cms) in height, 10½ ins (26.5 cms) wide, 3 ins (7.5 cms) deep.
