Two Japanese bronze kozuka knife handles, each decorated in relief with mixed metal inlay, the first signed verso with two Japanese characters for Tou after Tsuchiya Yasuchika (1670-1744) decorated with a bamboo rod, gilt rings and rice bowl and scales, the second decorated with a pair of herons in silver and gilt foliage, two character signature verso, each 9 by 1.5cm.

Very fine and exceedingly rare.
