London', in a Jacobean revival case carved with a winged angel mask surmount, above scrolls and fruit, the stem with a caryatid figure wearing a crown of laurel, holding a branch and a lyre, 102cm high.

Dents and scratches throughout conducive with age and use, interior lining worn, bottles basically sound though with some signs of wear/scratching conducive with age and use. Section of beading to right rear corner dislodged but extant, beading to left rear side corner missing. Top drawer with covers, handles worn or missing, base drawer with various fittings, some with minor scratching etc conducive with use and age. Tin with signs of rust, silver funnel with denting to the base of spout, drawer lock pin missing
A 19th Century mahogany apothecary's chest, the top opening to reveal ten bottles over a fitted drawer containing pestle and mortar, measure, scales etc CONDITION REPORTS Top of case with some scratching particularly to the rear right and rear left, top coming away from the sides particularly top left but also rear right. Slight smile to the top particularly to the right hand side not meeting the base perfectly. Cracks to the right hand side below lock to the right of the escutcheon. Bottles dirty and with some chips conducive with wear and use. Interior lining of lid worn, interior fittings may or may not be original to the piece.
A Victorian mahogany apothecary's cabinet with brass swan-necked handle, the two doors each fitted with nine bottles, opening to reveal five further bottles, two bearing labels "...G H Morgan & Sons Limited, Dispensing Chemists, 2 High Street and New Street, Wem" over three short and three long graduated drawers, one fitted with measures and glass funnel, the middle drawer fitted with pestle and mortar and four further bottles, the lower drawer with further measure, scales, golden eye ointment pot, various weights and a mahogany lidded box with further sliding door compartment verso bearing four further bottle compartments and bottles, three bearing G H Morgan & son labels CONDITION REPORTS Case basically sound though with some signs of wear and tear conducive with age and use. Bottles appear in reasonable order. Drawers and contents which may or may not be original seem in reasonable order. Mahogany case set of scales again possibly not original. Goldeneye ointment pot with crazing and chips to the top and bottom rims - see images. Rear bottles appear in reasonable order, some loss to the top right of the rear sliding cover. A Victorian mahogany apothecary's cabinet, the top opening to reveal a fitted interior with fourteen bottle compartments and thirteen bottles, two lift-out trays containing scales and weights, measure and wooden-handled tool over four further bottles and pestle and mortar, the lid with leather fold-down compartment gilt-embossed "S Maw & Son, Portable Domestic Medical Cabinet, London" CONDITION REPORTS Some denting to the top right of lid, full front compartment warped not meeting perfectly. Leatherwork to the interior cover worn, paper liner inside with large split to the rear and discolouration. Bottles appear in order, one with top smashed, one bottle missing but top extant. A 19th Century mahogany apothecary's chest, the top and folding front opening to reveal a fitted interior with twelve various bottles, including "Cooper & Co Pharmaceutical Chemist's Laudanum", "Cooper's Tasteless Aperitive Seeds" etc and two lift-out compartments revealing funnels, pestle and mortar, further small bottles, scales and weights CONDITION REPORTS Top with damage around area of hinges, interior with denting, scratches and wear and tear, particularly to the lining. Bottles appear basically intact though with some areas of wear and tear conducive with age and use including nibbling to the edges of the lids, one bottle in particular with damage to the rim and lid. An early 20th Century ash-cased apothecary's chest, the rising top opening to reveal a fitted interior with seventeen various bottles, cylindrical measure, smaller similar and small spatula over a fitted drawer containing scales and weights, pestle and mortar, four further small bottles etc CONDITION REPORTS Top with large split towards the back, large ring marks, lining probably replaced as in good order. Bottles basically sound though may well be replacements as all again seem in good order with the exception of the "Permanganate of Potash" which is earlier as is the measure. Drawer with what appear to be earlier bottles. Mortar and pestle may or may not be original, two dishes missing, scales in small oak box which again may be associated as rest of box in ash. A 19th Century mahogany apothecary's chest, the top with herringbone banding and moulded edge opening to reveal scales, four bottles, measures, funnel and bone spoon, over a door opening to reveal six various bottles bearing labels "A J Wells late J W Trigg, Gloucester, Arthur J Wells and J W Trigg" over seven various drawers, the centre drawer containing glass pestle and mortar, with further rear door containing eight various bottles bearing labels for "R Y Duckworth, Gloucester, Arthur J Wells, Gloucester, W H Hampton, Gloucester" CONDITION REPORTS Case with staining, denting, scratching etc conducive with age and use. Top interior particularly so with lots of denting particularly to the front edge suggesting it may have been forced at some stage. Interior bottles etc may or may not be original. Drawers empty with the exception of small quantity of weights top left drawer. Door catches/hooks right hand side missing though eyes extant. Rear compartment with eight bottles, varying labels, again catch and eye missing - see images for further detail
A Victorian mahogany cased apothecary's chest by Savory & Moore the rising lid with brass flush handle opening to reveal the maker's label "Savory & Moore, Chemists to the Queen, 136 New Bond Street & 220 Regent Street, London" with compartment containing two leaflets relating to "Dr. Robert James' Powder for fevers and all inflammatory disorders" over a fitted compartment with fifteen various bottles including "bicarbonate of soda", "spirit of sal volatile", "laudanum", "tartaric acid", "spirit of hartshorn", "powdered jalap", "Tincture rhubarb", "paregoric elixir", "calomel", etc. over a fitted drawer with glass pestle and mortar, measures, weights, scales, etc. CONDITION REPORTS Top with staining and splitting to the right of the brass handle. Slight damage and splitting to top right of lid and similar top left. Slight split above or top right of the drawer. Interior with staining and wear. Two bottles missing, others may or may not be original - see images for interior of drawer
A Victorian mahogany apothecary's cabinet the two doors each fitted with eight bottle compartments containing eight original bottles and two further later bottles opening to reveal a six bottle compartment over drawers containing scales, pestle and mortar, funnel, bottles, etc. with further compartment verso of six compartments containing four original bottles CONDITION REPORTS Whilst basically good, the piece is not without faults. Oxidisation to the brasswork of the handle, staining to the rear compartment cover, horizontal splits across the right hand door. Two bottles missing to the interior of left door, the two in existence probably replacements, four missing to right door lower section. See images for further details. Right lower drawer handle now just a screw, one funnel or measure missing to interior of drawer. Interior of long drawer probably incomplete as far as contents go, see images for what is there. "Apothecaries & Chemists Medical Hall, 68 Grafton Street, Dublin" "Hippo Powder", the remainder unnamed CONDITION REPORTS Outer leatherwork fairly tired looking throughout with some stains, dents, scratches etc, see images. Handle to top missing, interior worn but extant, bottles not all matching therefore assumed some have been changed (but not recently). Scales with some rust to the steel. A 19th Century mahogany and rosewood strung apothecary's chest, the two doors each fitted with five bottle compartments and bottles over two small drawers and revealing five further bottle compartments and bottles over a drawer with four flush lidded compartments and a fitted drawer with scales, pestle, glass weights and funnel. Bears label inscribed "4 of Apothecary's Weight Q which are the denominations of Apothecaries - weight? A 20 grains or gr. make 1 scruple, 3 scruples - - 1 dram 3, 8 drams - - 1 ounce 3, 12 ounces - - 1 pound 16, Q what" CONDITION REPORTS With cracks to the top left front and right back, handle with wear, interior of lid with label very stained, bottles appear to be original though two larger bottles with silver or white metal (unmarked) tops. One bottle to left very damaged to rim. Lower interior drawer with mortar missing and lift out tray missing, scales with rust. Bottom right corner and bottom left corner with beading missing.
