This helmet belonged to the 20th (Finlandski) dragon regiment stationed in Vilmanstrand (Finland) before WWI and was part of some 20 pieces which were uncovered in the unit`s barracks years ago where they had been stored since August 1914. This black leather helmet with black brush and white metal fi ttings has the enlisted man`s cockade under the right chin scales. These helmets were produced by the K.Tils Cy in Moscow as stamped inside the shell with the year of manufacture "910" for 1910. Mint condition!

The mother of pearl grip scales are chipped and cracked. 2 - Black patching to blade with nicks to edge and damage to the tip. Minor wear to the gilding. 3 - Pitting to the blade, with tiny nicks to edge. Hilt with wear to the gilding, a break to the top of the knuckle bow and a small break in the silver wire binding. The leather scabbard has a crease to one side half way down. There is no evidence that it has had a suspension ring.
A Second World War German Infantry Officer's Sword, with 86cm single edge fullered steel blade, brass stirrup hilt with rounded langets, the underside of the crossguard double struck with Waffen marks of eagle/82, numbered 1305, AC/G, with ribbed black plastic grip, leather finger strap and dove head pommel; a 19th Century Danish Naval Officer's Sword, the 74cm single edge fullered steel blade etched with a fouled anchor and scrolling foliage, the ricasso signed Magasin du Nord, Kobenhavn, the brass gothic hilt pierced and cast with a fouled anchor, the grip lacking original grip scales, the pommel cast as a foliate sheathed beak mouth (2 - lack scabbards)1 - Fine pitting to blade, grip lacks its wire binding. 2 - Blade pitted and with all over black patching. Grip scales are missing leaving the wood base. Knuckle bow has a plugged hole.
