Chart of the West Coast of Ireland (530 x 765mm)This chart is in the volume of Le Neptune Francois of 1803, covering the British Isles, based on an earlier chart of Captain Joseph Huddart (chart V).It shows the west coast of Ireland from Mullaghmore, county Sligo, to Kerry Head, county Kerry. The title is in an oval frame in the centre right and reads Carte Particuliere de la Cote Ouest d'Irlande depuis Sligo jusqu'a L'Embouchure du Shannon Tiree des Cartes du Cape. Joseph Huddart et Publiee Par Ordre du Contre-Amiral Decres Ministre de la Marine et des Colonies au Depot General de la Marine en l'An XII. Below this is a note on the soundings. In the lower right corner is a scale of Lieues Marines 10 Lieues [= 171 mm.] and beside this is the circular mark of the Depot Gal. de la Marine R.F. and below both, outside the frame, is Prix Deux Francs. There is one compass indicator with an arrow showing north to the top, and scales of latitude on each side.

A flintlock lighter dating: first quarter of the 19th Century provenance: Europe With tubular, two-stage magazine for the tinders, faceted and round, with ring at the girdle and another ring by the mouthpiece similar to a moulded muzzle, provided with a cover which can be opened by pressing the small button on the back, with handle. Box-lock type mechanism with rear hammer (detachable upper jaw) and batterie, trigger with trigger guard; checkered, wooden grip, chiselled with shell on the sides and hollow scales on the back, iron butt-plate. Provided with a folding pedestal in the lower part. Interesting lighter with magazine for the tinders shaped as a barrel which makes it look like a pocket pistol. dimensions: length 22 cm.
A 1861 model pin-fire revolver dating: third quarter of the 19th Century provenance: Kingdom of Italy Round, rifled, 11 mm cal. barrel with foresight; smooth, six-shot cylinder, frame with Lefaucheux mark (slightly visible), serial number "LF 64XXX"; pin-fire mechanic (to be checked). Grip with smooth, wooden grip scales and a ring for the strap. dimensions: length 28 cm.
A very rare modified 1874 model revolver dating: 1875-1890 provenance: Kingdom of Italy Octagonal, rifled, 11 mm cal. barrel with foresight. Grooved, six-shot cylinder (functioning mechanic, to be cleaned), frame featuring remains of the mark "GLISENTI BRESCIA" on the left and remains of a stamp, on the right side remains of a stamp and the serial number "2xxx". Folding trigger, loading gate, extractor. The ring for the strap is missing. Wooden grip scales with remains of checkering. Modified version of model 1874 revolver adapted to the mechanic structure of Bodeo. Created in a small number of pieces. A rare 1887 model Husquarna revolver dating: 1875-1890 provenance: Sweden Octagonal, rifled, 7.5 mm cal. barrel with foresight; grooved, six-shot cylinder, frame marked "HUSQUARNA", all parts featuring the serial number "44xx", keeping most of the finishing, small areas of pitting. Checkered, wooden grip scales. dimensions: length 26 cm.
A 1882 model Schmidt revolver dating: 1875-1890 provenance: Swiss Octagonal, 7.5 mm cal. barrel with foresight, serial number "P1xxxx" and stamp depicting a cross. Six-shot cylinder with fuller, frame with serial number and coeval stamps, the hammer and the trigger en suite. Grip with grip scales of hard rubber, a ring for the strap. Dumonthier type double barrelled percussion knife-pistol dating: mid-19th Century provenance: France Straight, double-edged blade, a fuller at the centre, featuring fine engravings on the entire length; on the sides of the blade two smooth, round, 9 mm cal. barrels; steel hilt, the parry quillons consisting in the hammers, the quillon-block with the pistons; provided with two foldaway triggers; curved, iron grip (pistol-shaped) enclosing the springs and the mechanism; German silver grip scales engraved with floral motifs. Iron scabbard featuring remains of engravings. dimensions: length 35 cm.
A scarce pair of breech-loading pistols by Montigny and Fusnot dating: third quarter of the 19th Century provenance: Belgium Octagonal, rifled, 7 mm cal. barrels with finishing, signed "MONTIGNI & FUSNOT A BRUXELLES", with precision foresight; iron frames finely engraved with floral motifs, scarce system with long tang, when pulled toward the top, it releases the chamber and loads the firing pin and the trigger at the same time. Defects at the mechanic, easy to repair. Long, micro-checkered, ebony grip scales. For Joseph Montigny see "Der Neue Stöckel", Vol. II, page 823. The engineer is documented in Brussels from 1856 to 1870, he bought from Fafschamps the patent of a machine gun, he improved this weapon and offered it to the emperor Napoleon III. dimensions: length 36 cm.
A percussion pepperbox revolver dating: third quarter of the 19th Century provenance: Belgium Revolving block provided with six smooth, cylindrical, twisted, turn-off, 9 mm cal. barrels; at the base the stamp of Liège. Almost cylindrical frame with remains of engraved racemes, with lower hammer and ring trigger, in one piece with the grip provided with ebony grip scales; butt-plate engraved with spider-net pattern. dimensions: length 28,5 cm.
A rare horseman's knife combined with percussion pistol dating: mid-19th Century provenance: Europe Straight, single -and false-edged, folding blade, marked "VAGNETTI" on the tang; iron body with horn grip scales held by screws. Provided with a screwdriver on the back, a screw-shaped tip for wood and a long, beak-shaped tool to clean the horse hoofs. At the back of the grip the cylindrical, 10 mm cal. barrel, with vent, hammer with rear cocking lever, cylindrical, decorated with a small pierce of checkered amber. In order to use the gun it is necessary to extract the cleaning tool, as it works as the grip, and the tip that works as the trigger. Interesting and scarce piece, see another one with similar mechanic in "Firearms Curiosa" by Lewis Winant, on pages 130-132 (picture at the bottom of page 132). dimensions: length aperto 24,6 cm.
A pin-fire pepperbox dating: third quarter of the 19th Century provenance: France Grooved, 7 mm cal. cylinder of six barrels; frame marked "MEYERS BREVETE", folding trigger, on the right side the loading gate; wooden grip scales, the ramrod screwed inside the grip. In a wooden case complete with key, the inside surface of the cover lined with stuffed velvet, marked "MAISON VILLARD" in gold, the case lined with reddish fabric. dimensions: length 12 cm.
An Adams percussion revolver dating: third quarter of the 19th Century provenance: England Octagonal, rifled, 11 mm cal. barrel provided with foresight, stamped "L.A.C.", with marks of the test bench. Smooth, five-shot cylinder with stamps of the test bench; at the back the mark "R. ADAMS LONDON", on the right side of the frame the Adams marking and the serial number "3xxxx R", external safety lock. Checkered, wooden grip scales. An interesting pin-fire revolver by Arendt dating: third quarter of the 19th Century provenance: Belgium Round, rifled, 7 mm cal. barrel, with octagonal base marked "Arendt Brevete a Liege" and serial number "812x", foresight; six-shot cylinder with stamp of Liège test bench; loading gate and safety lock, folding trigger; wooden grip scales, extractor in the butt-plate (similar to ramrods in the pepperbox). dimensions: length 18.5 cm.

A "Montenegrin" centerfire revolver dating: third quarter of the 19th Century provenance: Belgium Round, rifled, 11 mm cal. barrel (slight pitting on the nozzle) with foresight. Six-shot cylinder engraved with floral motifs, stamped frame, serial number "4xxx" and floral engravings. Some problems at the mechanic. Provided with lateral extractor with loading gate and trigger with trigger guard. Grip with smooth, horn grip scales and ring for the strap. A rare and interesting Dumonthier dagger combined with double-barrelled pistol dating: third quarter of the 19th Century provenance: France Strong, straight, double-edged blade of lenticular section, with a thin, central fuller on almost the entire length, on a side of the blade the mark "DUMONTHIER / BREVETE D.on / A MOUDAN", provided with a muzzle-loading barrel on each side, with smooth bore and 10 mm caliber; iron quillon, the parry arms consist in the hammers and hide the nipples, when lifted they automatically extract the two foldaway triggers placed within the grip. Thick, brass grip scales, worked with twisted grooves, curved pommel with a fine, bas-relieved trophy of arms on dotted ground; also provided with a small loop at the edge. Complete with the wooden scabbard with brown leather covering (slightly damaged), with a seat both for the blade and the barrels; provided with brass mounts, cap with small hook. dimensions: length 50 cm.
