A selection of diecast models including Chevrolet, Ford and Edsel marques in 1:32 and other scales from the 'National' and 'Historic' Motor Museum Mint and other ranges. A 1941 Chevy Flat Bed Truck 'AJAX' in 1:32 scale and a ' '68 Comeback' Elvis Pick Up Truck in 1:25 scale are also included as part of this lot. Overall models appear G/VG although condition of outer plain packaging varies. (11)
Rare Military Prison Staff Corps 1901-1906 Officers Home Service Helmet, very good example of the blue cloth covered cork home service pattern helmet with fine gilt metal Victorian helmet plate in the form of the Royal Arms, velvet backed linked gilt metal chin scales, rosette side bosses in gilt metal, cross base with rosette mounts and spike fitting. Helmet is complete with its original sweatband and quilted silk padded lining to the interior. Helmet is housed in its original japanned metal storage tin. Some very light moth to the peak area but otherwise an excellent example with all the gilt remaining fresh. Military Prison Staff Corps was formed under Army Order 241 of 1901 and redesignated Military Provost Staff Corps in 1906. These helmets were worn by Governors and Inspectors of Military Prisons.
Victorian 3rd Volunteer Battalion Bedfordshire Regiment Officers Home Service Helmet, good untouched example of the blue cloth covered cork home service pattern helmet with silvered and enamel centred regimental helmet plate with lower scroll having volunteer battalion details, velvet backed white metal linked chin scales, white metal rosettes to the side, cross base with rose fittings and spike fitting. Helmet is complete with the original leather sweatband and Hobson & Sons makers tab to the top of the interior. Good patina to the white metal fittings. Some very light areas of moth tracking to the cloth of the helmet.
Imperial German Bavarian Dragoon Regiment Parade Pickelhaube, leather 1871 pattern shell with brass Bavarian helmet plate to the centre, scaled leather backed chin scales. Two replaced cockades, one un-painted. Brass cross base with gilt spike having black horse hair parade brush plume. Helmet with leather liner to the interior which shows some cracking. The helmet has been restored in places with some fittings being replacements.
Imperial German Bavarian Model 1849 Raupenhelm Helmet for the “Burgerwehr-Kavallerie”, fine polished leather shell with white metal crowned Bavarian helmet plate to the centre, scaled white metal officers type chin scales with lion head bosses and correct pattern single Bavarian state cockade. White metal comb with parade brush fitted into white metal socket holder to the back. Helmet is complete with its original leather liner. Remains in generally very good condition.
Imperial German Prussian Hanoverian Reserve Regiment Officers Pickelhaube, fine example with gilt metal Prussian officers helmet plate having the “WATERLOO” scroll and white metal reserve cross under the “FR” cipher. Scaled brass officers chin scales and officers pattern state and national cockades. Circular gilt metal spike base with four securing stars and officers tall pattern spike. Helmet has the original leather sweatband to the interior but no cloth lining. Paper size label to the interior having the imperial tri-colour flag. Back peak slightly loose, and top slightly sunk from the weight of the fittings on the leather shell but otherwise a good untouched example of a scarce helmet.
