Sekonda - A gentleman's Russian chronograph wrist watch, circular black dial with baton and dot markers, centre hand with stop watch function, inner telemeter and outer tachymeter scales, subsidiary dials with 45 minute counter and continuous seconds, 35mm steel case, movement number 22548, fitted with an expanding steel bracelet, watch is running at present time although no guarantee is given.
700-1100 AD. Viking Age. Bronze amulet in the form of a dragon with a circular suspension loop, which also stands for the beast’s wings, beaked head, corded scales, and legs and tails ending in loops which probably symbolise claws. Dragons were important figures in Norse mythology, and were known for their powerful, destructive nature, perhaps reflecting a claim to power by the individual who once owned this bracelet. Good condition. Size: L:34mm / W:42mm ; 9g; Provenance: From an old British collection formed in the 1980s.

Set of four 20th Century Chinese soapstone carvings depicting seated Buddhist figures each with an animal beside them and dressed in traditional robes, all approximately 11.5cm tall (4 Condtion Report:Figure 1: with dragon some tiny nibbles to the high edges of the dragon scales and horns and finger tipFigure 2: Chip to the front of the base, to the RHS of the foot. 5mm bruise to the left forefinger, one small bruise at the back of the base.Figure 3: with the dog/lion, damage to the figures left hand little finger and the whisk he was holding and some very tiny bruising.Figure 4: Slight bruise to left ear, bruise to the edge of the rock to the foot. Tiny bruise on thumb of left hand.All figures generally fairly good for age. All have natural cracks and all with scrapes to base.
