A fine 18th Century English hunting sword, having a white metal hilt with ivory grip scales and knuckle chains, the scales secured by rivets with flamboyant flowerhead washers, the cross guard of planar form with scroll terminals, the curved blade having a broad fuller and retaining traces of etched or engraved decoration, in a shagreen-covered scabbard with white metal locket, chape and band, the locket engraved "Hawes, Bond Street", 76 cm
OO Gauge. 5 boxed models from the Hornby 'Skaledale' range including R.9733 Works Office, R.8588 Weighbridge & Scales, R.8535 Water Tower, R.9726 LMS Water Tower and R.8709 Fuel Oil Tanks. A boxed Hornby R.505 Water Tower model is also included as part of this lot. Apart from the R.8535 model which has slight damage, all otherwise appear VG boxed. (6)

A hand-forged iron single-edged knife with T-section blade, curved back and reinforcing rib, integral scooped grip with rivets for the scales; possibly a pesh-kabz or similar weapon. 263 grams, 40cm (15 3/4"). Property of an Essex collector; acquired on the UK art market; formerly in an early 1990s private collection. [No Reserve] Fine condition.
1st-3rd century AD. A group of bronze fragmentary scales from a lorica squamata panoply, each with attachment holes, slightly curved profile. 4.03 grams total, 14- 18mm (1/2"). From the property of a London gentleman; thence by descent; previously in an important private Mayfair, London collection, acquired after 1970. [7, No Reserve] Fair condition.
13th-6th century BC. A bronze dagger with lentoid section blade tapering to a point; the hilt hollowed both sides to receive wood or bone scales. Cf. Khorasani, Manouchehr Moshtagh, Arms and Armour of Iram, Germany, 2006, cat.7 for similar example. 300 grams, 38.5cm (15 1/4"). Private collection, Cambridgeshire, UK; acquired prior to 2000. Fair condition.
17th century AD. A silver-gilt ring with rectangular-section hoop expanding at the shoulders, octagonal bezel with a central shield flanked by volute scrolls, initials 'EW' above the scrolls, inside the shield a standing figure holding scales and a sword, second similar figure above the shield. 8.74 grams, 24.34mm overall, 17.98mm internal diameter (approximate size British O 1/2, USA 7 1/4, Europe 15.61, Japan 15) (3/4"). Property of a European collector; formerly in an old European collection formed in the 1980s.Very fine condition. A large wearable size.
