A GERMAN WORLD WAR TWO RAD ENLISTED MAN'S HEWER BY CARL EICKHORN, circa 1938, with heavy hatchet-shaped 9 3/4in. blade etched with the motto 'ARBEIT ADELT' (work enables) on the right hand side, blind fuller to both sides and the maker's mark together with 'GES. GESCH' and 'RADJ' within a triangle on the left hand side, solid iron carved cross-guard and hilt, stag-horn scales and 'eagles-beak' pommel, complete with its original metal scabbard with engraved steel fittings (small losses to black painted section), complete with its leather belt hanger with metal clips. Erwin Heerich. (1922 Kassel - 2004 Meerbusch-Osterath). 3 Zeichnungen. Um 1970. Je Filzstift, teils mit Bleistift, auf karierten glatten Papier. Blattmaße je 43 x 30 cm bzw. 30 x 43 cm. 1 Arbeit signiert und mit Zahlenverhältnissen und Maßstäben beschriftet. - Kanten teils kaum merklich angestoßen. Sehr vereinzelt mit kleinen Fleckchen. Insgesamt sehr gut. Akkurate und filigrane Zeichnungen mit architektonischem Charakter. Erwin Heerich vereint in seinem Werk Einflüsse der Geometrischen Abstraktion und Minimal Art und stellt mit seinen fein ausführten Zeichnungen unter Beweis, dass sein zeichnerisches Werk dem bildhauerischen ebenbürtig ist. Unsere Arbeiten zeigen die Entwürfe und Grundrisse zur Insel Hombroich, dem Museum, welches den Nachlass Heerichs präsentiert. 3 drawings. Each felt-tip pen, partly with pencil, on chequered smooth paper. 1 work signed and inscribed with numerical ratios and scales. - Edges partly hardly noticeably bumped. Very occasionally with small stains. All in all very good. Accurate and filigree drawings with an strong architectural character. - Erwin Heerich combines influences of Geometric Abstraction and Minimal Art in his work and proves with his finely executed drawings that his graphic work is on a par with sculptural work. Our works show the designs and floor plans for Insel Hombroich, the museum that presents Heerich's estate.

An analogion image of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker in a massive silver setting in 1836. The classical iconography of the blessing saint, with an expanded gospel, is complemented by those coming: Peter and the Monk John on the left, Saints Natalia and Evdokia on the right. The figures are skillfully carved into the original decor of the fields, which combine the motives and scales of post-Empire patterns and romantic bouquets. The impressive work on the setting oklad is complemented by the filigree on the forehead of the saint. Fully painted icon on gold on a cypress board. Salary: Petersburg, 84 standard silver. 1836.
