A scarce pair of breech-loading pistols by Montigny and Fusnot dating: third quarter of the 19th Century provenance: Belgium Octagonal, rifled, 7 mm cal. barrels with finishing, signed "MONTIGNI & FUSNOT A BRUXELLES", with precision foresight; iron frames finely engraved with floral motifs, scarce system with long tang, when pulled toward the top, it releases the chamber and loads the firing pin and the trigger at the same time. Defects at the mechanic, easy to repair. Long, micro-checkered, ebony grip scales. For Joseph Montigny see "Der Neue Stöckel", Vol. II, page 823. Almost cylindrical frame with remains of engraved racemes, with lower hammer and ring trigger, in one piece with the grip provided with ebony grip scales; butt-plate engraved with spider-net pattern. dimensions: length 28,5 cm.
A rare horseman's knife combined with percussion pistol dating: mid-19th Century provenance: Europe Straight, single -and false-edged, folding blade, marked "VAGNETTI" on the tang; iron body with horn grip scales held by screws. Provided with a screwdriver on the back, a screw-shaped tip for wood and a long, beak-shaped tool to clean the horse hoofs. At the back of the grip the cylindrical, 10 mm cal. barrel, with vent, hammer with rear cocking lever, cylindrical, decorated with a small pierce of checkered amber. In order to use the gun it is necessary to extract the cleaning tool, as it works as the grip, and the tip that works as the trigger. A rare and interesting Dumonthier dagger combined with double-barrelled pistol dating: third quarter of the 19th Century provenance: France Strong, straight, double-edged blade of lenticular section, with a thin, central fuller on almost the entire length, on a side of the blade the mark "DUMONTHIER / BREVETE D.on / A MOUDAN", provided with a muzzle-loading barrel on each side, with smooth bore and 10 mm caliber; iron quillon, the parry arms consist in the hammers and hide the nipples, when lifted they automatically extract the two foldaway triggers placed within the grip. Thick, brass grip scales, worked with twisted grooves, curved pommel with a fine, bas-relieved trophy of arms on dotted ground; also provided with a small loop at the edge.
