Set of Victorian postal scales. engraved brass mounts on a specimen marble base, 24cm, and a brass and walnut set.Qty: 2Condition report:Specimen set: The base section is in very good condition, some surface wear and three minor chips to the top edge, but no cracks/ fractures or loss of the specimen insets. The brass element is tarnished some and the larger platform is slightly misshapen, but the engraved detailing remains.Wooden set: The base is heavily marked, scratched, and with multiple indentations presumably where weights have been dropped on it. The brass platforms are heavily distorted. The vertical supports are held together by a piece of wire at the top, with the lower stretcher being loose. Neither set is complete with weights.
