A group of tribal textiles,20th century, including an ikat throw, 112cm wide, 226cm long, a Kuba raffia cushion, 45.5cm wide, 34cm high, and a raffia and linen textile, 142 x 40cm (3)Condition ReportIkat throw - colours good, signs of repair and restoration throughout, some small pulls, no holes.Kuba cushion - small area of fraying to the centre, made from several cloths sewed together using a variety of coloured raffia threads.Raffia and linen textile - a few areas of wear resulting in two or three small holes, no missing shells, pom poms only to one side but all present, some small frays and repairs, commensurate with age.

A collection of black basalt milk jugs, circa 1800-1810, to include an oval example sprigged with 'Hope and Plenty', another with cupids, one with lattice bands and another example with scalloped shells (4). Generally in good sound condition with minor chips apparent to all of the pieces. Some loss of sprigs to Cupid jug.

Yaka - Democratic Republic of Congo Fetish.Hard wood with natural and glossy patina, magical substances.Signs of use.With base. . Cm 3,00 x 19,00 x 3,00. Many Yaka sculptures were created to contain small cavities filled with natural substances believed to be magical to give them power. Also used as protection tools, fetishes like this were worn by men during hunting trips and were often adorned with shells, seeds, coins and any other object or substance considered useful to increase its magical power.Beautiful patina and with signs of use.
Mankon - Grassland Cameroon Mask Atua Akam.Hardwood with dark patina, fabric, shells and pigments.Some shortcomings (shells), signs of use. . Cm 30,00 x 50,00 x 12,00. Among the Makon, one of the many ethnic groups that populate the Grassland of Cameroon, this type of mask called Akam, was considered very important because worn by the head of the dancers of the court of the king. During the celebrations the chief dancer who wore the mask Akam and led a long procession with different types of masks through the square in front of the royal palace ( Christopher D. Roy, 1991).

An early Victorian white wood paint box, of rectangular form, the lid painted with three sea shells within a border of colourful seaweed, the sides with conforming bands of seaweed decoration. The interior lined with original green paper and with a compartmentalised tray with rectangular paint cakes, ceramic pallet and dishes, warp to lid, 24 x 19 x 8.5cms.
A red leather Brighton 'Souvenir' sewing box for a child, of rectangular form covered in gained red leather with wallet form closure inscribed in gilt 'Souvenir', the hinged lid with a black and white engraving of Brighton Pavilion inscribed in ink 'Sophia Gambrill, 1837', the compartmentalised four division base containing sea shells, pebbles and bone macrame fish, 8.5 x 5.5 x 3.2cms. Possibly Sophia Gambrill born Elmsted, Kent in 1825 died 1856.

A pair of carved giltwood pier tables,18th century, Italian, each shaped rouge marble top over a pierced shell carved frieze and scrolled legs, the stretcher carved with shells, husks, foliage and scrolls, 63cm wide44cm deep87cm high (2)Knocks, losses and wear to gilding. One with loss to stretcher, but the piece is present. The marble tops appear later. Some old repairs and losses. Re-gilded. Internal back stretchers with which the tables are screwed to the wall are loose. General wear commensurate with age and use.
