An early 19th Century French ormolu mantel clock of rococo design, the circular cast face with roman numerals in enamel panel form having a floral spray and c-scrolls to the surround striking movement with silk suspension, the base decorated with two children inspecting a bird's nest flanked by foliate scrolls, the base similarly decorated with c-scroll shells and other foliate ornament, 40cm.

18th CENTURY ENGRAVED ORNAMENTS: An album containing, pasted in on the rectos of 30 leaves, 110 hand-coloured engravings, each intricately cut around the image with great skill and delicacy. Subjects include floral, insects, shells, sporting, Chinese etc. Together with a further 25 hand-coloured engraved images including two ornamental borders, some of these not cut round; from one of which we can see that some were cut from sheets printed for John Ryall at Hogarth's Head in Fleet Street in 1766. 8vo full 19th Century pebble-grained burgundy morocco, ruled and lettered in gilt "H.M. Hicks-Beach 18th Century" by Sotheran & Co.
