Assorted Decorative 19th Century And Later Sewing Accessories including a miniature green silk and bead decorated novelty tape measure modelled as a watering can, 3 cms high; bodkin holder with grape and vine carved decoration and a painted panel to the front depicting `Stauhbach`, 8.5 cms; cross stitched rectangular box titled `Oracle` enclosing seven pieces of card `The Fiat of Fate, to all who wish their fate to know, these hearts will future fortune show. With shaded eyes then touch and name, the colour will thy lot proclaim`. Attached by blue ribbon to the box are thirteen differently coloured silk hearts, and the cards give the fortune details for each colour; gilt metal mounted needle case set with oval hand coloured portraits of gents, 4 cms by 3.5 cms; circular pin cushion, pink striped ribbon embroidered pin cushion; and two sealed shells stamped `Water Flower Wonder Shell, made in Japan` (8)

An extensive Meissen blanc de chine Centrepiece of Neptune and Thetis (Royal Commissioned Model After Kandler) bearing the Royal Crest of Friedrich Augustus and modelled as two hippocampi drawing a clam chariot bearing Neptune and Thetis, with two sea nymphs, dolphins, a putto, amidst waves and clam shells etc (created as four separate pieces, the base now joined beneath by two bolts), half of base impressed Neptune No 1 on the top and 1 11 beneath with underglaze blue cross swords and incised No 1; the second half of the base with crowned FA over 4 in underglaze blue on the back impressed 86 and incised No 1 on top and underglaze blue crossed marks below, attendant nymph impressed 121, incised N1 and underglaze blue crossed swords; Neptune and Thetis impressed 86, incised N1 and underglaze blue cross swords (condition: three crown pigs missing to rear and one chip to front; one finger restored on attendant nymph; trident haft replacement; other minor losses), probably likely to have been a gift to Admiral of the Fleet Sir Gerard H Noel GCB, 18” high and 23” wide (SEE PHOTOGRAPH)
