A George II shaped circular silver salver, the raised border with a moulded rim and shells at intervals, later chased with `C` scrolls and flowers, central armorial crest, raised on three hoof and pad feet engraved initials to base `W. T. M. 17 11` hallmarked London 1746, makers mark Joseph Sanders dia. 25cm, weight 520 g approx.

The tall backs having shaped cane panels framed by open carved scrolls of entwined acanthus leaves, flanked by fluted side columns with sunken reeds rising from the bases and surmounted by pierced cresting rails carved with crowned scallop shells and rampant lions. The caned seats with wool work swab cushions on lion headed legs sweeping down to form ball & claw feet.
