Lord Granville placed his name at the head of the list and was followed by... a great number of other distinguished persons. The result was the presentation to Mr Newstead of a handsome silver salver, with a suitable inscription. The whole proceeding evinced the impression which Methodism had made in the French capital, and the high respect entertained for Mr Newstead and his family."
