An Art Deco Style Ruby and Diamond Ring, the central old cut diamond in a white claw setting, to a border of step cut rubies within a further border of eight-cut diamonds in white millegrain settings, to a yellow tapered shoulder plain polished shank, total estimated diamond weight 0.70 carat approximately, finger size N see illustration. The ring is in good condition. It is stamped '18CT' and in our opinion would test as gold. The approximate qualities of the diamonds are; colour H/I/J, clarity I1/I2/I3. Gross weight 3.9 grams. A Ruby and Diamond Double Clip Brooch, circa 1940's, formed of a bow motif centrally with spray detail, each clip set throughout with a cluster of round cut rubies in white claw settings and round brilliant cut and baguette cut diamonds in claw and channel settings, total estimated diamond weight 1.50 carat approximately, measures 4.8cm by 2.8cm see illustration For a similar example and a narrative on items of this nature see plate 593 on pages 298 to 311 of Understanding Jewellery, by David Bennett & Daniela Mascetti. The brooch is in good condition. It fastens with a pin and revolver catch and each clip has a double pin. It bears no hallmark nor stamp but in our opinion would test as gold. A group of Grand Cordon of the Order with jewels; Collar of the order, 53,5 cm., gilt Silver, made by 12 links with crowns on silver laurel wreaths; 12 links with gilt-silver dagger of Jambiya type, resting on crossed swords pointing downwards; centre and rear links also with crowned, gilt-silver Jambiya on crossed swords, resting on silver laurel wreath. Sash Badge, 53 mm., gilt Silver, with 8 green enamelled, stylized leaves, flanked by 8 gilt-silver swords blades, the upper, supporting the upper, Sultane`s crown; red enamelled centre medallion with arabic inscription, within outer circlet set with brilliant-cut, white pastes and long complete sash. Breast star, 80 mm., gilt Silver, with 13 gilt-silver groups of three rays, set with brilliant-cut, white pastes, anked by 13 gilt-silver blade-like rays, with waved tips; green enamelled, gilt-silver centre medallion with calligraphic arabic inscription; gilt-silver outer circlet, set with brilliant-cut ruby-red pastes; the reverse, with vertical pin. An outstandingly rare set of the highest order of Oman, in this class awarded to royals and heads of state only, made in the nest, probably British quality, in mint condition.
