Cartier, London, 9 ct gold powder compact set with a cabochon ruby, London 1948, square form, with rope twist decoration knotted to the centre and similar to the underside, the interior set with a mirror and inscribed "Cartier, London H6459". 7 cm x 6.3 cm, 133.9 grams gross (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The compact is in extremely good condition. There is no significant wear or damage to the gold. There are no significant dents or scratches. The lid closes and snaps shut as it should. The interior mirror is in good condition. There are no significant condition issues.
A small collection of Mary Gregory style glass, to include a blue glass container with metal mounts, amber glass pot with hinged cover, amber glass pot and cover, pair of liquor glasses and a pair of Solifleur vases. Tallest 12 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The yellow Solifleur glass vase has no visible obvious faults. The cranberry tint Solifleur vase has no visible obvious faults. The ruby tinted lidded pot has a tiny chip to the side rim of the lid (just above 9 o'clock if looking on a clock face), the remainder of the lid appears to be intact. The base appears to be in good order with no obvious faults. One liquor glass has been broken at the stem and glued. The other liquor glass is in good order although the gilding is rubbed to the rim. The amber pot and cover appear to be in good order with no obvious post production faults. The metal mounts have been gilt gilded but these are now rubbed. The blue pot and cover has no visible obvious faults. The metal mounts may have been gilded but these are now polished to the base metal. There are two loops attached to the top section of the container which are slightly open, other than that I can see no obvious faults or flaws.
