By repute, this brooch was commissioned from Wartski, London as a gift in the 1960s/70s.

Finger size P.Condition report: Excellent condition Diamonds; twenty two single cut diamonds 1.20mm - 1.85mm, H-I colour and SI-P1 clarity, estimated total diamond weight approximately 0.40cts. Rubies; thirteen 2.25mm-2.55mm square cut rubies, good pink and red colour, visible inclusions, assorted natural and synthetic (mostly natural), estimated total weight 1.00ct. Sapphires; thirteen 2.75mm square cut sapphires, bright blue, visible inclusions, assorted natural and synthetic (mostly natural), estimated total weight 1.00ct. Hand made, not hallmarked but tests as platinum. Band width approximately 3.8mm, band width including the two diamond bands 8.6mm. Gross weight approximately 5.94 grams.

Finger size P.Condition report: Good condition commensurate with age. The two largest rubies measure approximately 5mm x 4.5mm x 2.7-3mm. Light surface scratches but no chips and no obvious inclusions. The rubies have not been tested for natural origin or colour enhancement. The ring belonged to the vendor’s Grandmother. Believed to date from circa 1890-1900. Not hallmarked but probably 18ct gold. Gross weight approximately 3.6 grams
