A diamond cluster ring, the central round brilliant cut diamond within an undulating border of smaller eight-cut diamonds, in white claw settings, to a yellow tapered shoulder plain polished shank, finger size J; and a ruby and diamond cluster ring, the oval cut ruby within a border of eight-cut diamonds, in white claw settings, to a yellow tapered shoulder plain polished shank, finger size N. Both rings are stamped '18CT' and 'PLAT' and in our opinion would test as gold and platinum. Gross weight 6.5 grams.
A synthetic ruby and diamond dolphin brooch, the realistically modelled dolphin with a yellow textured body, a round cut synthetic ruby eye and a round brilliant cut diamond to its tail, length 3.7cm. The brooch is in fair condition with an area of discolouration to its body. It fastens with a pin and revolver catch. It is stamped '18K' and in our opinion would test as gold. Gross weight 7.1 grams.
Widely acknowledged as a truly stand out piece by the artist Paul Mann, his illustration of the classic Hollywood musical fantasy "The Wizard of Oz" (1939) is a joy to lay eyes on. Using acrylic paint on illustration board the colours 'pop' from the paper (particularly the red of Dorothy's ruby slippers) and there's no mistaking the cast and characters as they are painted in an almost photographic likeness.
