Masonic Interest, a ruby glass cylinder vase commemorating Trinity Lodge No.5179, found 1930, engraved with the Lodge banner and scrolls for the Founders and Masters, ground pontil height 20cmNotes: in 1939 the New Master of Trinity Lodge, W.Bro.I.I.E. Tatlow who was in the glass business, presented the Lodge with this ruby glass vase. It bears a banner of the lodge with all the Masters and Founders commencing from the foundation year 1930. During WWII it was 'hidden' presumably for safety and re-appeared in the 1950's. It later turned up with a dealer exhibiting at the Harrogate Antiques Fair in 1988. The current vendor, an avid collector of Masonic glassware purchased the vase and was invited to a meeting in 1988 where he presented the Lodge a large colour photo of the vase. The 1988 Lodge summons is included with the vase.Condition: generally good overall
