A Ruby and Diamond Ring, a row of old cut diamonds in white claw settings flanked by a row of step cut rubies in a yellow channel setting to each side, in a shaped setting, on a plain polished shank, total estimated diamond weight 0.35 carat approximately, finger size O The ring is in good condition. It bears some stamps to the outer shank, but they are barely legible. In our opinion it would test as gold. The approximate qualities of the diamonds are; colour H/I/J, clarity SI2/I1/I2. An Early 20th Century Ruby, Sapphire and Diamond Eternity `Flip` Ring, a full eternity ring with step cut square rubies to one half, and sapphires to the other, in a white channel setting, two hinged tapered half hoops set with single cut and rose cut diamonds, flip to allow varied use, finger size J The ring is in good condition. The stones bear some minor scuffing. The ring is stamped `PLAT` and in our opinion would test as platinum. A Floral Brooch, circa 1880, the spray brooch set with a cultured pearl at the centre of the flower, and rose cut diamonds throughout, measures 3.2cm by 1.5cm, and A Pair of Ruby and Diamond Cluster Earrings, the oval cut ruby within a border of single cut diamonds, with post fittings for pierced ears The items are in good condition. The brooch fastens with a pin and hook catch, with a stirrup safety catch. It bears no hallmark, nor stamps, but in our opinion would test as silver settings on a gold mount. The approximate qualities of the diamonds are; caratweight 0.30, colour I/J/K, clarity SI2/I1/I2. Weight 3.6 grams. The earrings are stamped `9K` and in our opinion would test as gold. The approximate qualities of the diamonds are; caratweight 0.15, colour J/K/L, clarity I2/I3. Weight 1.2 grams. CR made 11th February 2013
An Opal and Ruby Bar Brooch, a star shape flanked by two ovals, each set with a cabochon opal centrally within a spaced border of rubies, with bead decoration, length 3.1cm The brooch is in good condition. One of the opals has quite a large chip. It possibly has been converted as the bar and pin the panels are mounted upon look a little newer. It fastens with a pin and revolver catch.
