Principal stone estimated 0.60ct, SI clarity, tinted colour. Non-principal diamonds appear bright and lively. Rubies appear a bright purplish red hue, well saturated, minor nicks/abrasions to some, some stones at slight angle to settings.

A 20th century ruby and pearl snake ring, with a large cultured freshwater baroque pearl within textured coiled snake surround, with ruby set eyes, to textured hoop, ring size N Provenance: a private London collectionCondition Report: Some surface wear and discolouration, notably to the reverse of the ring band. The baroque pearl measuring 16.5 x 13 x 10.5mm, with greyish violet body colour, predominantly green and purple overtones, some areas of pitting and discolouration. Rubies to eyes pinkish red hue, with slight abrasion to facet edges. Metal untested, in our opinion appears to be 9ct gold. Approximate weight 16.28 grams.Pearl loose, requires regluing.

Chips and facet junction wear to the majority of the synthetic sapphires, and some of the synthetic rubies. One later replacement natural sapphire. Diamonds are all present, in good order, appear to be original. Mounting in good order, very minor surface marks commensurate with age. Catch secure.
