A Burmese ruby and diamond cocktail watch, circa 1940s, the rectangular dial within brilliant-cut diamond bezel, with scissor-cut calibre ruby highlights in barrel settings, the stepped shoulders formed by alternating tiered rows of further brilliant-cut diamonds and rubies, to a two-row serpent-link bracelet, mounted in two colour precious metal, (one ruby synthetic corundum), diamond weight approximately 2.20 carats total, length 16.5cm. £1,200-£1,500 --- The rubies have been assessed at Gemmological Certification Services and confirmed as being of Burmese origin, with no indications of heating.
