A 22 carat gold ruby ring, a round cut ruby in a claw setting with a collet border, to pinched shoulders, finger size L1/2The ring is in good condition. It is hallmarked with duty mark, Birmingham, 1888, no maker's mark. The inner shank has a worn inscription, 'LCW, died 18th April...' The ruby measures 4.7mm x 4.7mm x 3.1mm approximately. Gross weight 5.8 grams. Condition Report made 7th December 2017.

A Victorian bird brooch, set with seed pearls, rubies, emeralds and diamonds, in the form of a parakeet, the body formed of seed pearls, ruby eyes, with diamond set crest, emerald and ruby back, and seed pearl tail with layer of emerald and ruby, set in white metal, possibly platinum, with a yellow metal pin, 12.5g all in, 4cm high. Provenance: By family repute given to Mrs Brown by the Duchess of Mouchy, France.
