Pair of bowls enamel decorated with dragons and phoenix, with painted six character mark of Qianlong to base; Together with a sgraffiato ruby ground famille rose floral decorated bowl and cover with four character mark of Qianlong. 14.3cm and 16cm diam. (3)Pair of bowls with minute nicks to rim and foot with no signs of cracks and no repairs. Ruby bowl with 5cm hairline and chip to rim, the cover in good condition. Provenance: Property of Dennis Young, son to Sir Mark Aitchison Young GCMG (1886-1974) who served as Governor of Hong Kong between 1941 and 1947, thence by descent.

The diamonds assesed as Old European cut of 1.98ct total estimated weight, estimated clarity VS2, estimated colour H-I, in an eight claw setting, the centre rectangular cut synthetic ruby of 2.60ct estimated weight, measuring 8.1 x 7.3 x 4.9mm, in a four prong setting, width 51mm, 6.9g. Anchorcert report 20666298.This ruby doesn't come with a certificate. There is a small line fracture under the table of the stone. Not noticeable to the naked eye. There is a tiny facet chip, just noticeable to the eye. The stone is translucent and lively. The diamonds are bright, white and lively.

Marked '585' and tests as 14 ct gold, measuring19cm in length, total weight of item 9.72 grams.three of the rubies are assessed as synthetic rubies.
