PARLOPHONE, BRUNSWICK & HIS MASTERS VOICE - Collection of 59 x 7" to include 18 x Parlophone (including purple labels), 10 x Brunswick (including tri centres) & 31 x HMV (including purple labels) from such artists as Ruby Wright, Keith Kelly, Bobby Lewis, Brenda Lee x 8, Ricky Nelson (I'm Walkin), Ray Charles x 4, Sam Cooke, Dion, Royal Teens, Johnny Kid x 4 and many more. Condition is generally VG+ to EX.
Lot 67
Mauboussin . A fine 18 carat gold, ruby, diamond and sapphire floral spray brooch with pendant fitting by Mauboussin, signed Mauboussin Paris and numbered 135150, circa 1948, French 18 carat gold control marks, approx 55 x 35mm, 12.8 gms. A similar brooch designed by Rene Sim Lacaze for Mauboussin can be seen in the book "Mauboussin" by Marguerite Ceval, page 193.
Lot 315
A moonstone and ruby necklace, circa 1890, the snake link chain set to the front with ten fixed graduating drops, each set with a graduating oval cabochon cut claw set moonstone in an open mount, alternately set with nine fixed drops each set with three oval mixed cut or round mixed cut claw set rubies in open mounts, on bolt ring clasp. Total length approximately 41cm. Weight approximately 18.66gms. Condition report The moonstones measure approximately from 7mm x 4mm to 8mm x 7mm. Each moonstone a well matched with flashes of blue. The majority with good surface condition, some with minor surface scratches. All with small natural dark inclusions, however none reaching the surface. The rubies measure approximately from 2mm x 3mm to 4mm x 4mm. The rubies differ in colour slightly, from light to mid pink to red, others appear more dark red. The majority with minor patches of zoning and many with natural dark inclusions, several with the inclusions reaching the surface however not detracting from the overall look. All the rubies with minor surface scratches and abrasions to the table with very minor chips to the facet edges, however nothing detracting from the overall look. Many of the mounts with surface scratches and marks to the reverse and tarnishing to the metal, otherwise in good condition.
Lot 318
A pair of ruby and diamond earrings, of curved formation, the front set to the centre with a raised mount of six channel set square cut rubies within a surround of twenty four brilliant cut claw set diamond highlights, on post and clip back fittings. Length approx 1.5cm. Total weight approx 6.8gms. Condition report Each ruby measures approximately 3mm x 3mm. Well matched pink-red in colour with good colour saturation. Numerous dark inclusions however none reaching the surface. Good surface condition. Total weight of the diamonds approximately 0.24 carats. Estimated colour H/I Estimated clarity SI Numerous surface marks and scratches to the clips and outer edges of the mounts, however not detracting from the overall look.
