I have looked at the teapot, coffee pot, tureens, twig handled dishes and other better pieces which all look fine. There is a small chip to the tip of the small sauce ladle.
An extensive Derby dinner service, early 19th Century, painted in the Imari palette with prunus branches, comprising two soup tureens and covers, an entrée dish and two covers, a meat dish with gravy tree, four graduated oval meat plates, nine graduated rounded rectangular meat plates, sixty-four dinner plates, fourteen soup bowls, a saucer dish and two saucers/see illustration Condition Report: Both large oval tureens have had handles broken and glued. One tureen base with a large rim chip, one handle lacking and the other rivet repaired. The oblong tureen base cracked, one cover in good condition, a second cover with hairline crack. The tree and well meat plate with several cracks, the four other oval dishes in good condition. Of the oblong dishes 6 are in good condition, the other 8 have only hairline crack or so, except the largest which also has a rim chip. Soup plates - 8 with a rim chip or crack. 6 without damage, most with glaze crazing and some flaking to gilt rim. 24 dinner plates without damage (but mostly with glaze crazing). 20 with a small rim chip or short hairline rim crack. 20 with bad crack or chip. Saucer dish and 2 tea plates chipped and cracked
An early 19th Century Chinese blue and white tea service, of thirty-five pieces Condition Report: 243:Jug - restored handle, firing flaw to cover.Octagonal saucer dish - hair crack to rim.Teapot cover - chip and crack under, also black discolouration under rim, finial replaced.Teapot - handle restored, small nick to brown line rim at neck.Caddy - rim chip and short hair crack, the cover chipped and finial missing.Saucers - six good, two with repaired chips, one totally restored from many pieces (poor), one has small chip and star crack, one has rim chipping. Teabowls - rubbing to gilt rims, one cracked and glued, one has short hair crack.Cups - one with long crack to side, one with tiny rim chip, one with handle repaired.
