Main body lid of pot has gilt finial, white porcelain body with a oxblood red over coloring, profusion of sgraffito, raised decoration and floral gilt filigree. The delicate small white tea pot is decorated with scenes of Japanese villagers in grisaille, accented with red and gold. Gilt edging to the handle, spout. Interior pristine, white ground lid with gilt finial, pierced, decorated with a picturesque scene of temple and trees. White porcelain saucer detailed bamboo stalks bisecting diameter with gilding to rim. Japanese potter's marks under glazing.
