A First Period Worcester double tea service, circa 1770, each piece fluted and with gilt gross blue tasselled curtaining at the rim and with further dotted gilding, comprising a pair of melon-shaped tea pots and covers, a pair of hexagonal tea pot stands, a spoon tray, a pair of waste bowls, a pair of large cake plates, two saucer dishes, a sugar bowl and cover, two milk jugs of differing shapes, five large straight-sided tea cups, twelve large tea bowls, seven coffee cups and fourteen saucers/Provenance: Spetchley Park/see illustration CONDITION REPORT: One teapot with footrim chip below glaze, occurring at time of manufacture.Of the two saucer-dishes - one has a flat rim chip which is 1cm wide to underside of rim and the other has a star crack to well.Of the larger fluted straight-sided cups - one has a rim chip which is 1cm wide.Of the smaller straight-fluted cups - one is cracked.The teabowls and saucers with some wear to gilt wells.Some slight wear to gilt rims throughout.
A Derby Imari pattern part tea service of seventeen pieces CONDITION REPORT: This tea set has an overall good appearance however the following items have been restored -Small jug, 1 x saucer, 3 x cups, teapot and cover.In addition the circular sugar bowl has a hair crack running from rim down side.
