An interesting Eighteenth Century Chinese Famille Noire part tea service Comprising five cups with a slightly flaring rim and everted edge and a teapot of squat cylindrical form and a pointed spout with a slightly domed cover and a ball finial, decorated in the Famille Noire palette with scrolling green enamel peony and chrysanthemum on a black enamel ground. Eighteenth century Imperial pieces decorated with similar designs are known.
